Edna was a true Georgia peach. Edna grew up in the mountains of Georgia and told us many stories of how she and her quilting friends would get together, lower the quilt frame from the ceiling, and hand quilt for hours. Edna never owned a sewing machine, she did everything by hand. In her older years she would sit with her husband while she quilted. He would cut out the fabric shapes for her and she would sew them together. Edna knew nothing of designer fabrics or long arm quilting machines. What she did was from the heart...and with much love. We will miss her. Here are two of her quilts.
